I really do have to pass this on. From Rep. Trey Gowdy, Tea Party spear carrier and Benghazi committee lead witch hunter. Asked why he isn’t interested in running for a position in the Republican leadership in the House, he replied,
I don’t have a background in mental health, so I wouldn’t have the right qualifications to lead right now.
You know it’s bad when somebody like Gowdy is one of the saner people around.

And then Kevin McCarthy was brought down. Mental health qualifications would be of no use. They need to call in the professionals who capture and cage rabid wild animals.
It would be fun to watch if only it didn’t involve the position second in line to the Presidency.
